Stenhus Pavilion
Skåne, Sweden — Private gallery
Architecture & interiors — Copenhagen
We design a small number of houses, retreats and cultural rooms each year — drawn in full, built in solid materials, and detailed to the millimetre.

Selected work
The practice
We stay small on purpose. It is the only way we know to give a building the number of hours it deserves — and the reason our clients meet the same faces from first sketch to final key.
“Detail is not decoration. It is the argument, written small.”
We spend the first weeks on site and in archives — light angles, prevailing wind, how a room is actually used at seven in the morning.
Every project is drawn at 1:5 before it is priced. Nothing is decided on site with a contractor holding a saw.
Lime plaster, solid oak, brass, travertine. Surfaces chosen because they improve with fingerprints rather than resist them.
The same two people who drew your project stand in it on the final day, and again a year later.
Client voices
They removed more than they added, and the house finally makes sense. Two winters in, nothing has warped, cracked or annoyed us.
The drawings arrived so complete that our contractor asked who had built it before. That level of preparation kept us on budget.
A gallery is a difficult client. Atelier Nord listened for three months before proposing a single wall.
